Ductile Iron Ball Type Flexible Expansion Joint |
TAI-FLEX |
 |

|
TAI-FLEX is a ductile iron ball type flexible expansion joint which was developed for the purpose of protecting pipeline from pulling out of jointed parts and/or damage which are caused by ground subsidence in reclaimed land and soft ground.
It can achieve expansion/contraction, and torsion movement all at the same time to cater for big subsidence in reclaimed lands.
In Japan, where we have a lot of earthquakes, TAI-FLEX receives a good reputation as an earthquake resistant flexible joint with highest expansion/contraction, slip-out resistance, joint deflection performances.
We recommend you to use TAI-FLEX which proves excellent reliability as a joint for uneven subsidence in the reclaimed land and soft ground. |

Our unique assembling method realized one-piece casing without any connection using bolts and nuts.
Therefore, TAI-FLEX has excellent strength and has retaining performance of 3DkN (Loading corresponds to friction force between 100m pipe and soil.) for all sizes.

TAI-FLEX is compact in design but it can correspond to big subsidence because of sufficient bending angle.
And, the structure of TAI-FLEX allows larger subsidence just by increasing the length of sleeve, so it can correspond to large subsidence without any additional joints. |
 |
Our standard coating of TAI-FLEX is synthetic resin coating externally and epoxy resin powder coating internally, so it has excellent anticorrosion property and prevents water pollution. |
 |
On each bending portion and elastic portion, TAI-FLEX is provided specially designed rubber sealings.
We apply reliable rubber sealings to achieve stable watertightness for TAI-FLEX. |
 |
Ball type structure allows torsion movement, thus preventing destruction of flanges and valves. |
